Your GP / nurse run their clinics on 10 minutes appointments. This means that they have to deal with each patients problems including taking a history, examination, prescriptions & explanations within 10 minutes. They also have to write up the notes all within 10 minutes.

If patients are severely ill then this can take us longer and you would agree that the most severely ill patients should get as much time as they need.

If you arrive late this eats into your time. It is also unfair on the Doctor who then has to run late and on subsequent patients who have arrived on time.

If you have missed your appointment it is at the discretion of the GP/Nurse as to whether they will see you. I am sure you would agree that subsequent patients should not be short changed because you have arrived late

We ask that you arrive in good time preferably about 10 minutes before your appointment time.
