We do thousands of medications on repeat prescription every week.
All repeat prescriptions will be issued within 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays) of a request. Most repeat prescriptions now go direct to your pharmacy of choice electronically (rather than a paper prescription) although there are some drugs that still have to be issued on a paper prescription. Pharmacies will require more time to dispense your prescription from the time they receive the prescription due to the process and whether they need to order some of the items into stock. Please discuss with your pharmacy how long they require to process your prescription.

How Can PoD Help?
We now do regular virtual checks of medications on repeat prescriptions. If we need to discuss your medication we will contact you to make a telephone consultation
The government is working closely with the NHS and suppliers to help to ensure medicines and medical products continue to be available for patients if there is a ‘no deal’ Brexit.
Get prescriptions as normal
Please keep ordering your repeat prescriptions and taking your medicines as normal. It is unnecessary to change how you order and take your medicines.
It's important you don't ask for more medicines than you normally need, doing so risks pressure on availability of medicines for other people.
What the government is doing
The government has put in place contingency measures to help ensure medicines continue to be available.
It is not helpful or appropriate for anyone to create their own personal supply of medicines at home as this risks pressure on availability of medicines.
